Illumitech has initially focused on a family of proprietary light collectors for coupling arc lamps to small targets, such as projection LCD’s or fiber-optics. This work has been awarded a major contract from the U.S. Display Consortium, supporting Illumitech’s approach as the top candidate for the next generation of collection optics for desktop LCD-projection monitors.  This program is expected to result in a 30-50% improvement in collection efficiency and brightness vs. current systems.
